Friday beaver image later

Okay here's the friday beaver shot I promised. No not mine I have no beaver I'm a guy.

One mans' treasure is another mans' trash.
At present Obama can do no right. It matters not what he does he's wrong in the eyes of the opposition. But for him I hold a growing distain that he's caved on almost every issue. He's acting like the corporatist that he is all the while trying to sell America that he's different than those across the aisle. We have a budget if you can call it that that does nothing to address the nations' issues all in an effort to appease Wall Street and the monied pockets that run these campaigns. Few if any rely solely on the donations of the masses and are now content to climb in bed with their now corporate masters. Let's get one thing straight, corporations are not people and are in existence for one reason and one reason only and that is to make a profit for their shareholders. They no longer have an interest in anyone else other than owners. Not their workers nor the American people. A vision so short sighted it will truly be the downfall of this nation. Why invest in research and development when there is no incentive to do so? Why bother to train workers when some other company can make a buck doing the job.
This is scary ground we're entering when any public service can be privatized for the benefit of the few who can afford the service and a handful of shareholders. We saw what happened with Enron. Luckily our state did not follow that same path although an attempt was made. To say that a corporation can do a better job of providing public services such as water or police or fire ignores the fact that those services are done without profit and therefore all monies spent go to service and not investors.

So now we have the clown circus in Iowa with each potential clown king saying how they'll fix the economy yet none of them has stated how they'll increase employment except by giving more to their corporate masters. We've seen how that's worked over the last 11 years is it now?

So it would seem that they got the treasure and we got the trash only we didn't even get that. All we got was an empty bag.

Bank fails later
And we have one bank fail today in Kansas.

My only request is that when rioting happens here, that they shoot all the Big Brothering CCTVs first.

Unfortunately, we have already entered the realm of absurdity...the realm of darkness may be next.

That statement can be reversed.

At times during my childhood we lived under the stars, that is all we had to live under, and others discards. It was good training and has served me well over the years.

I'm okay with little if that is all I have. I can think of ways to make more money, just not feeling the need for more.

I'm feeling the need to go boat Lake Chelan.

I have no fear of losing any investments cuz I've never invested in anything that may make others more wealthy and me poorer. Why in the hell should I trust others with my money?

that they shoot all the Big Brothering CCTVs first.

I'm going to sit on the porch drinking beer and taking pot shots at the monkeys going by, just to keep everyone alert.

An old man needs some entertainment.

Who has money to spend? The wealthy, and I still see a lot of them around out here, as tourists. The wealthy are good target, they spend money on the damnedest things to make themselves happy.

Like the jewelry lady that sets up her little roadside stand (and it isn't fancy), She makes jewelry with a couple of bucks worth of materials and puts 20 to 30 dollar prices on them.

And those silly wealthy tourists buy it and helps her make a hundred or two hundred bucks a day.

I guess that when wealthy people leave home they get stupid, that must be why the over priced shop by the ferry landing has done well for 13 years.

I mean, you have to be pretty stupid to pay almost 7 bucks for a peanut butter cup.

Oh pleeeze BBC, you know that was the best peanut butter cup you've ever had.

It was okay but no better than a Reeses. Helen won a box of three of them on a radio contest. They are heavy, close to a pound each.

BBC said...

Well, her 15 dollar gift certificate and five bucks cash got her three of them.

Reese is the "gold standard" of PB cups, no question aboot that!

There's much truth in what you say, Demeur, but the blame doesn't belong to greedmeisters and politicians alone. In a democracy, it goes back to the people, to who and what they support and what they will tolerate.

Germans elected Hitler reich chancellor. Slightly fewer than half voted for George W. Bush in 2000 and more voted to re-elect him in 2004 (at least if some voter suppression and other chicanery goes ignored, as it always does). The senators from Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and numerous other states are sold-out Neanderthals. Each keeps winning elections, though.

Like Pogo said, "I've seen the enemy and he is us!"

In a democracy, it goes back to the people,

That keep demanding too much from their government.

Randal I'll be more than happy to help your load for the final mug shots. Just make sure we're far enough away not to be recognized.

So Billy exactly where does your retirement come from? Did you save all those pop bottles as a kid hoping to return the empties?

Oh stop asking silly questions, you have followed me long enough to know that I get by just fine on my 938 bucks a month SS money.

And when I feel like it I can always pick up other work here and there for extra money, but I seldom feel like it.
